Projects

Our house has been a happening place the last few weeks! Our yard has been taken over by work crews and they've made really good progress in a short amount of time! So far, here's a list of the projects that we are working on:

1- (no picture) We had a HUGE oak tree taken out from the front of our house and one smaller one in the back. Both we both half dead and we were worried about the oak in the front dropping a large branch on our house or the neighbors. Charles also worked hard to trim back a lot of our palm trees so with that and the missing tree it has really opened up our front yard and view of our house from the street. It looks really nice!

2- We put an awning above our balcony
3- We added concrete pavers to our back porch. Before the pavers there was just a concrete slab with cracks. What a huge difference it made and it looks great!!

4- The one big project that we've been meaning to do since we moved in was to flatten out our sloped backyard and add a concrete wall to help with the drainage. Our backyard is so much bigger now and looks really nice. We are really excited about seeing it all finished. They started the project about 2 weeks ago and are moving right along. Right now we are almost ready for the new sod to go in :)
This is after they leveled out the yard

Cameron loves to dig in the dirt in the backyard. It's like one big sandbox!
The completed wall. Just waiting for 2 more loads of sand to even out the yard.

5- And the last, but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, project was decorating Olivia's bedroom. It seemed to take forever as the room went up piece by piece but we are so happy with the end result! Can't wait for her arrival!!
I saw this bookcase in a catalog and Charles said that he could make it. I think it turned out better than the one in the catalog. Love it!!!!

My sister picked out all the wall decor

My good friend, Tara, made the bumper and crib skirt. She did an awesome job!

We ordered the "Olivia" wall decor and then my sister made the green board and put it together.
