Santa on the square

Don't ask me what I was thinking when I decided to wait TWO hours on the Ocala square to get Cameron's photos with Santa. My friend Kelli, her husband Charlie and son Weston and I waited together. I guess I figured that as long as Cameron was happy I would keep waiting. Charles and I are so lucky that Cameron is such a great, happy baby that we can take him places like these. Cameron was content the whole time waiting in line. These photos show how Cameron spent his time in line; sitting in his stroller looking around, playing with his favorite toy, his book, and taking photos with other characters that were there. The city really put together a nice event with Santa which included free cookies and drinks, entertainment and prizes for the children and even a hay ride around the square.

(I'm surprised the Grinch didn't scare more children, look how scary his mask is! We noticed later that there was another Grinch with a nicer mask.)

I love to chew on my toys now and my book is my favorite chew toy!!

Look what I can do!

Cameron's growing up so fast! At his last doctors visit on Dec. 10th he weighed 13 pounds, 13 ounces and was 24 inches long. He's already holding his head up and now is trying to sit up on his own. I'm thinking that it will only take a few more weeks before he is sitting on his own. Here's Cameron on his play mat......

Daddy and Me

Cameron might be a momma's boy but he loves his daddy! Here are some cute photos of Cameron and Charles along with another video of Cameron babbling.

Christmas Photos

Last Monday a friend of ours took some photos for our Christmas cards. I thought that I would post them for you to enjoy. Although we weren't able to get Cameron to smile for the photos, he was patient enough to sit through all of them. I bought the Santa hat for him a few weeks ago and Charles and I just think he is adorable in it!

Key West Wedding

This past weekend Charles, Cameron, Charles' sister Linda and myself went to Key West for my friend Kandis' wedding. She got married on the most beautiful private island in Key West. The island was very exclusive and adults only so Linda was nice enough to go with us to be our "nanny" during the wedding. We had a great time with her and I'm sure Cameron enjoyed the extra time with his aunt. Thank you Linda!!
As you can see from the photos the wedding was incredibly beautiful with the sun setting. Kandis looked so beautiful and we all had a great time.On the way down to Key West we stopped and stayed one night with Charles' aunt Lorraine and uncle Bruce. They were so welcoming! We arrived to a huge meal and happy to find that 3 of Charles' cousins and their families were there to visit with us also. It was nice to spend time with them as we don't see them very often.

Halloween

Here are some photos from Halloween. Cameron and I spent the day with Kelli and Weston. Cameron was dressed as a surgeon and Weston a pirate. We went a couple different places, one of them visiting our friend Marjorie at her work.

The above photo is of Charles and I dressed up with Cameron at our friends Halloween party. Charles was a Mississippi gambler and I was a saloon girl. (We rented the costumes from the local theater costume shop.)

Fall photos

We took this first photo because we both loved the outfit that he wore to church (he's shown sitting in his swing that we just recently purchased for him and he loves!)
These next two photos are our attempts of taking photos of him at the local pumpkin patch. Unfortunately we picked the wrong time for the photos as we had to wake him taking him out of his carseat and he was crying the whole time (as you can see from the photos.)

Polo Anyone?

The weather here has finally started to cool down just a little (lower 80s/upper 70s) and last weekend we were finally able to enjoy it by attending a Polo match at the Florida Horse Park. As always, Cameron slept through it all (which we are so grateful for.) We took a photo with two other couples who brought their children along, both of which are 4 months older than Cameron.

Dinner Party

Here are a few photos from a dinner that we had a few weeks ago. Our friends got together and brought us dinner and visited with us. We had a great time!

Baby Talk

We thought everyone would enjoy these two videos of Cameron cooing. (Please excuse the absence of Charles' shirt in the second video.) Everyday he seems to be talking to us more. We think it's adorable and can't get enough of it!

Grandma Ollie's visit

Charles mom, Ollie, visited us this past weekend and was able to see Cameron for the first time. Although Cameron is lucky enough to have grandparents (Leslie's parents) just a few minutes away, Charles mother lives in New York. We were glad that she made the trip to visit and see him!
Ollie was nice enough to cook for us almost every night. What a treat!! Thank you Ollie!

Various photos

Below is the beautiful cradle that one of Charles' friends, Tim Maynard, made for us. Shown below is the cradle on a stand but it is also able to be made into a rocker. Cameron has been sleeping in it in our room. We love it!
This is a cute photo of Cameron in his bouncy seat. He's wearing a cute onesie that says "Cameron, future doctor" on it which was made by a friend of Leslie's.
I thought I'd put this picture up to see if you can tell that he's grown since coming home from the hospital. (Compare this photo to the photo of him in his carseat after coming home from the hospital, found towards the bottom of the blog.)

I love my bath!

Even from his very first sponge bath, Cameron has never made a peep while bathing. He loves his bath! Here are a few photos.......
Above: Cameron's first sponge bath. (Isn't it cute how he is holding the pacifier in his hand??)
Yes, it does look like he is screaming but it's just a yawn.
Just hanging out..... (he always slides down in the tub.)

A few family photos

Here are just a few photos of various family members with Cameron. Look for more family photos to be posted shortly. (Photos of Leslie's family with Cameron are on another camera.)

Our first photo shoot

Our photographer, Terri Byrd, came to our house Friday night to take photos of Cameron. Here's a few we managed to grab on our camera.......

Oh..... you can probably tell by the look on my face that Cameron just pooped all over me. (Cameron was much nicer on Charles.)
What a chubby boy!

Welcome Home Cameron!

After 8 days in the hospital, Cameron came home on Wednesday, Sept. 10. How nice it was to be able to take our beautiful, healthy boy home!

Here's Cameron in his carseat for the ride home.......

Us leaving the hospital..... (Although I had already been discharged 5 days ago, they still wheeled me out in a wheelchair.)

The days after delivery

Here are some photos of Cameron the first few days after he was born. As you can see he has a few wires hooked up to him. He had a few minor issues (low glucose levels and a small infection) which caused him to spend a few more days in the hospital and be hooked up to machines. (As of Saturday, Sept. 6, he is still in the hospital.)

Cameron has arrived! Sept. 2nd

Mommy's first sight of Cameron after delivery. (Charles watched the c-section.)

What a big boy!! Cameron L0gan arrived by c-section at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. He shocked all the doctors (and his parents) with his size. We were all expecting an 8 pound baby and Cameron was 9 lbs 14 oz!
