Ginty and Gilcreasts May trip to Ocala

My sister Becky & brother in law Ryan flew down from Iowa to visit us during the middle of May. My other sister Heather & her four boys also came down from Panama City to visit. This was my first time meeting the newest Gilcreast, Davis, who was two months old. I just love having all my family together & watching all the cousins play, I wish we all lived closer!

Ryan playing with Cameron

Becky, Ryan and I took Cameron & Olivia to the beach for a few hours one morning. As you can see Olivia doesn't even have her swim suit on as she wanted nothing to do with the water (she does not like the beach!) Ryan was nice enough to take Cameron out in the deep water so I could stay with Olivia.

Olivia waiting for Becky & Ryan to get up, lol!
Olivia absolutely loves baby Davis! She was such a little mommy to him, it was so sweet! Oh, and notice her pigtails (this is only the 2nd time she let me put her hair up & it lasted all of about 10 minutes.) She's also wearing a dress made by Charles' mom.
The older boys loved playing on the slip-n-slide I set up in the backyard. And bonus for them they found some worms in the wet grass. So exciting, lol!

Olivia brought her books out & pretended to read them to Davis
They loved holding Davis :)

Olivia and Reid, so sweet together (most of the time, haha)
Being silly in the pool at my parents house. I can't believe this was the only photo I have of pool time because they spent almost all weekend swimming!

Jacksonville weekend

In the middle of May, Charles, the kids and I went to Jacksonville for the weekend. My cousin Dawn was having her baby shower & we decided to make a weekend of it by staying with my Aunt Pam and Uncle Jim. We drove up Saturday morning just in time for the shower which was held at Dawn's best friend Olivia's mothers house. (Did you follow that?)  Charles stayed with the kids and he and Uncle Jim took them swimming at my aunt & uncles community pool. The shower was decorated beautifully & the food was delicious. I really enjoyed myself & time with my mom & grandmother who also drove up. It was such a special time to celebrate Dawn and baby Oliver who will be such a blessing to the family. After the shower I got a special treat of being able go shopping with my Aunt Pam and spend some time with her which I don't often get to do. We spent Sunday at Shaun & Dawn's house swimming and then took the kids to the park before saying goodbye to Aunt Pam & Uncle Jim. We all had a great time & wonder why we don't make the trip to Jacksonville more often!

Food table at the shower- I loved the huge hydrangeas!
Look at that cake! Made by Olivia's mother.
