Cameron's First Steps!

Today was a milestone! Cameron officially took his first 5 or so steps by himself. We are so proud! I'm so glad that Charles was able to capture it on video.

FYI, no children were harmed in the making of this video :)

Cameron and Leslie's trip to Nashville

Last month while Charles was on his annual motorcycle trip to North Carolina, Cameron and I flew to Nashville to visit the Hofers. We stayed for 8 days and had a GREAT time! When we arrived in Nashville, Kelli and Charlie picked us up and we drove 4 hours to north Georgia and stayed the weekend with Kelli's parents. They live in a small city just on the line of NC and Georgia. It was such a beautiful town with so much stuff to see and do. I could have stayed the whole week there!! On Sunday we drove back to Gallatin, TN and spent the week sightseeing. We went to the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Zoo, Country Music Hall of Fame and downtown Nashville. I was really looking forward to Weston and Cameron playing with each other but it ended up being the exact opposite. Weston always wanted to crawl over Cameron so everytime they were together Cameron would start crying. (I think he was scared of Weston.) Of course on the last day we were there they played nicely together! Here are some photos from the trip....

Cameron and I out in front of the famous Tootsies bar in downtown Nashville. Cameron was being so good even though he was so tired he was about to pass out (as you can see :)

On the 2nd night in Gallatin a bad storm can through and knocked down a few trees. The wind even blew their garage door in a little! I was really scared.
Here's Charlie cutting down the fallen tree the next morning

It's a Birthday Weekend!

Last Friday, the day of my birthday, Charles, Cameron and I headed down to south Florida to visit the Harters (Rob, Becky, Katie and Brooke.) Rob is Charles' friend from college and his daughter, Brooke, was having her 1st birthday party on that Saturday. We had a great time visiting with them and Cameron loved the birthday party. (It gave me great ideas for Cameron's party, which will be here in almost a month!! I can't believe it!) Okay, let me calm down from my party planning panic..... Anyways, Rob's wife, Becky, and I were even able to sneak out after the party and enjoy some girl time shopping! We headed back home on Sunday but stopped, for a few hours, just up the road to visit with some of Charles' family who were having a party to celebrate some birthdays. It was a busy weekend of birthday celebrations and we had a great time!

Cameron loved the ball pit!

Becky had hired a music lady to come do a sing-along and activities with the children. She did a great job; Cameron and all the children enjoyed it.

Cameron had to test out some of Brooke's new toys :)

This was Cameron's first beach experience. He didn't like sitting in the water (the waves scared him) but when Charles took him farther out, he loved it!
Whoa! I don't know who looks more surprised, Charles or Cameron!

We love the Bowlings!

A few weeks ago my cousins Graham and Gretchen came to visit us from Ohio. I was so happy to have them here and we really had a great time. Cameron loved playing with them and I enjoyed all the games we played together and being able to show them around Ocala. Although the rain dampened a few days, were we able to get in some swim time and went camping over the weekend. I wish they lived closer!! But Cameron and I hope to visit them in October and possibly make their trip to Ocala an annual summer vacation! Love and miss you both!
Gretchen practicing one of her dives; she's so athletic!

While they were visiting, Graham helped Charles start a hanging garden. Charles really appreciated the help because he had been talking about starting one for awhile and was really happy to get it accomplished! It's been growing really well!

4th of July Family Time

For the 4th of July, Charles, Cameron and I spent a great day in Jacksonville at my Aunt and Uncle's house. Cameron spent the day entertaining everyone by laughing and pushing around his grocery cart. It was a great day!

Here's a cute video of Cameron and their dog, Tanner, playing. Cameron loves dogs and enjoyed playing with him.
