Cameron's 1st Birthday Party

Here are pictures from Cameron's awesome 1st birthday party which was held at a local park on Sat. Sept. 12. The party went off without a hitch due mostly to the help of my sister, Becky, who arrived early to set up all the decorations and food. It was under a covered pavilion (which was great since it did rain) and there was a huge playground right next to the pavilion for the big kids to play on. We had about 40 adults/children there. We hired a children's singer, Mr. Richard, to come and play songs and he was a hit! I couldn't have asked for a better time and felt so blessed that Charles and I were able to celebrate Cameron's birthday with so many friends and family! We were even so blessed that my sister, Heather, and two nephews who live in Oregon, and my papap and mimi, were able to attend!

What a happy little boy!

Cameron is such a good walker now!

My Aunt Pam (traveled from Jacksonville to the party) and Papap (who traveled from Lake City and is 91 years old!) I think he enjoyed the party as much as the children :)

Cameron and my sisters dog, Lily. Since Cameron loves dogs so much, especially Lily, we had a dog theme for the party.

I thought Cameron was going to fall asleep during the sing-along! He had to miss his morning nap but despite a few yawns here and there he was a happy camper! Too much excitement for the birthday boy :)

Cameron and my nephew Jackson. So cute how they have about the same expression on their face!

This photo shows Cameron almost taking a face plant into the cake, he was inches away! I don't know if it was because he was so tired he wanted to put his head down or if he just wanted his face in the cake!

What a cute cake face!

Cameron sat for awhile with his hands inside his cake; I think he didn't know what to do after getting cake all over them!

One of the many yawns I mentioned earlier. Still a cute photo!

Friends and Vacations

Here are a few photos from a dinner we had a few weeks ago with out friends Ryan, Caroline and their daughter Addison. There are also photos from the trip to Clearwater Beach that Charles, Cameron and I went to this past labor day weekend. On Saturday, our friends Chris and Melisha and their children Corban and Adeline made the trip down to visit us for the day. We had great weather for the whole weekend and it was really nice to get out of town for the weekend.

Cam's 1st Birthday (Family Party)

Cameron's 1st birthday was last Wednesday, Sept 2. Since we have a big party planned for Sept. 12, Cameron enjoyed a nice simple birthday at his Grandy and Popeye's house (Leslie's parents.)

Here is Cameron with Lily, Aunt Becky's dog that he is in LOVE with. He just learned how to climb on to her back while she is laying down. She is the best dog and is so patient to let Cameron climb all over her!

I wanted to get a good picture of his shirt which I had made specially for him from a local shop

Cousin Jackson and Cameron watching Curious George. Cameron wasn't used to the TV being so close so he kept touching it!

Cameron enjoying his piece of cake, it didn't last long!

Wanted to show the cute bib I found that says "today I eat cake"

He's off and running

I thought I would post this video I took of Cameron walking. He has been walking pretty good for the past month now.

Cruise pictures

On August 1st, Charles, Cameron and I left for a 5 night Carnival cruise. We left from Tampa and visited Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. We had a really nice time and Cameron was very well behaved (as always) despite a few minor problems during meal time. (We think he may have been a little sea-sick.) Charles' sister, Connie, and her husband Danny and also Charles' nephew and his family, who are all from West Virginia, also went on the cruise with us. It was nice to be able to spend the trip with them. This was my 5th cruise and it was a lot different bringing an infant along. I'm just glad that I had been on other cruises so I felt like I didn't miss much when I had to stay in the room while Cameron was sleeping.

Cameron's First Steps!

Today was a milestone! Cameron officially took his first 5 or so steps by himself. We are so proud! I'm so glad that Charles was able to capture it on video.

FYI, no children were harmed in the making of this video :)

Cameron and Leslie's trip to Nashville

Last month while Charles was on his annual motorcycle trip to North Carolina, Cameron and I flew to Nashville to visit the Hofers. We stayed for 8 days and had a GREAT time! When we arrived in Nashville, Kelli and Charlie picked us up and we drove 4 hours to north Georgia and stayed the weekend with Kelli's parents. They live in a small city just on the line of NC and Georgia. It was such a beautiful town with so much stuff to see and do. I could have stayed the whole week there!! On Sunday we drove back to Gallatin, TN and spent the week sightseeing. We went to the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Zoo, Country Music Hall of Fame and downtown Nashville. I was really looking forward to Weston and Cameron playing with each other but it ended up being the exact opposite. Weston always wanted to crawl over Cameron so everytime they were together Cameron would start crying. (I think he was scared of Weston.) Of course on the last day we were there they played nicely together! Here are some photos from the trip....

Cameron and I out in front of the famous Tootsies bar in downtown Nashville. Cameron was being so good even though he was so tired he was about to pass out (as you can see :)

On the 2nd night in Gallatin a bad storm can through and knocked down a few trees. The wind even blew their garage door in a little! I was really scared.
Here's Charlie cutting down the fallen tree the next morning
