Pajamas and Cereal

Here's a couple of cute pictures of Cameron and Olivia in matching blue and pink monkey pajamas. These pictures were taken in February so Olivia was 3 months old.

Here's Olivia trying her first taste of rice cereal. As you can tell from her face, she did not like it at all! I've tried giving it to her about 4 more times and she spits it out everytime! She even goes as far as sticking her tongue out so I can not get any in :) Hopefully we will have better luck once we start with fruits and vegetables.

New Pets, Toys & Birthdays

The title of this blog sums up what the majority of the photos are about. Things are going really well here. Olivia is such an easy baby, she sleeps really well and is happy almost all the time, and Cameron is a great big brother and so loving toward her. Cameron is picking up new words all the time and is so independent! He loves to say "Me!" and point to himself when he wants to do something on his own. He is also totally a daddy's boy now. (Which in a way is a good thing since I am always busy with Olivia.) I always here "No, No, Mama, Dadda" meaning he wants me to go away and wants Charles. It doesn't hurt me too much since I was expecting him to turn into a daddy's boy at some point. Olivia loves to coo and smile and just the other day she laughed for my friend (but I haven't been able to make her laugh yet.) She also LOVES to watch Cameron. We have a new addition to the family, Rocky, who is a guinea pig. Cameron loves Rocky but unfortunately Lucy doesn't. If Rocky ever got loose, I'm afraid Lucy would try to eat him! Rocky is a really nice pet and the good thing about him is that we got him from a family of children so he is already very friendly and good with being held.

Here's Rocky!

When Cameron wants to pet him, I put him in the bathtub, which works out really well!

Sorry I put these next photos out of order.
My dads birthday was a last week and we had them over for dinner. Here's Cameron helping my dad blowout his candles.

Cameron still loves to help out in the kitchen. Here he is waiting for me to start cooking dinner

Cameron loves to clean and will occasionally pull out these dusters and pretend to dust the furniture. He also LOVES the dustbuster vaccum and will ask me for it anytime there is a mess on the floor. He is a good helper!

Here's Cameron driving his new powerwheels truck. Our neighbors gave it to us when they got a new one for their children. (Which was so nice since we would probably would not have ever bought one. They are over $300!) He loves it and actually doesn't do to bad driving it. He can put it in forward and reverse. (And it has a real working radio in it. It's pretty neat!)

Cameron driving Lucy, he thought this was hilarious!

Cute picture of Charles reading to Cameron and Olivia

I thought I would try to upload a video so I hope you can view it. A couple of weeks ago Charles took Cameron to a monster truck show and he absolutely loved it! He still mentions the big trucks :) Here's a video Charles took while at the event. Sorry it is sideways.

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and were so blessed to be able to spend it with our families. Our day started out very early, with us leaving our house at 7:15 AM to drive to my parents house. We opened up presents there and ate breakfast and then headed to Charles' sister, Linda's, house where we opened more presents, visited with family and ate lunch. Cameron had a blast opening up presents; we had to watch him to make sure he didn't open those that weren't his because he wanted to open them all! After lunch we headed to Jacksonville to my Aunt and Uncles house where we ended the day with a big yummy dinner. We had a nice time visiting with my aunt, uncle, two cousins (& their spouses) and my mimi and papap. My parents and sister also made the trip to Jacksonville. We are so lucky to be able to spend the holidays with family. We finally made it back home around 9 PM; it was a long day but worth every minute!

Cameron opening presents. (You will notice the wheelbarrow he got from my parents :)

How Olivia spent most of the day.... Here she is with one of her presents, a doll

Cameron with his Max and Ruby toys. (Max and Ruby is a kids show that he loves.)

Wearing his tiger slippers. (He loves to run around the house & stomp on things when he is wearing them.)

Cameron's big gift from us was a kitchen, which he LOVES!

Ambrose Family Photos

Back in November, my sister Heather, brother-in-law Phil and my two nephews Jackson and Emmett came from Oregon to visit us. They stayed with my parents for a week and with us for a little over a week. We had such a wonderful time with them. It was so nice to have them here and for them to meet Olivia. They were able to help me so much with Olivia and Cameron which was greatly appreciated since I was still recovering from my c-section. They were even nice enough to take Cameron to the park and to a petting zoo with their boys. Of course it wasn't until after they left that I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of them while they were here. But if you are interested in photos, my sister does a great job with her blog and has photos posted there. Her blog is http://www.pheathersphamily.blogspot.com/2010/12/florida-trip.html
We were able to get a few photos of the entire Ambrose family which I've posted below.......

Various Happenings

Here's a few photos of the things we have been up to.......
This photo of Olivia was taken when she was about 4 weeks old. She is now 2 months. Time flys!

Olivia and I in front of our Christmas tree.

Cameron being silly wearing my boots

Cameron got this tricycle for his 2nd birthday and just learned how to ride it (using the pedals) a few weeks ago. He loves to ride it all over the house

Cameron's new favorite thing to do is help in the kitchen. Anytime I am in the kitchen (even just to get a drink!) Cameron runs over to pull up a chair to help. Here he is after we finished making Christmas cookies. (As you can see, he liked sampling the food as we made it!)

Showing off his hard work

He loves to help with Olivia, especially with giving her a bath. Although most of the time he ends up getting more water on himself rather than her!
