Cameron's Birthday, Part 1

Cameron turned 2 on Thursday, Sept. 2nd. I still can't believe it! We celebrated his birthday with a family dinner with my parents and Charles' sisters on the Tuesday before his birthday.

I was so happy that he was interested in his presents and loved opening them!

I loved the look on Cameron's face when I put the cake in front of him!

Yummy!!

Cameron's Birthday, Part 2

On Saturday, Sept. 4, we had a pool party to celebrate Cameron and Adeline's (the daughter of good friends of ours) 2nd birthdays. We had it at our community clubhouse which worked out really well. We had about 40 people and we all had a really nice time!

My grandparents came down from Lake City; so happy to have them there!

You can tell Cameron is tired in this picture!

Loved the cake!!

Playdate

The other day I watched my friend, Melisha's, daughter Adeline for a couple of hours. Adeline is just a few weeks older than Cameron so they had a really good time playing together.

A Few Fun Pics

Here are a few pictures from various activities that we have been doing over the past month.......
Cameron and I along with my sister, Becky, and my mom went to the Butterfly Rainforest which is in Gainesville (about a half hour from Ocala.) Cameron loves chasing butterflies so he had a great time!
Pointing to a bunch of butterflies eating fruit

The butterflies are hard to notice in the pictures but if you look closely in this photo you can see the black butterfly with white strips.

The day before our last exchange student, Guillermo, went home we all went bowling. This was Cameron's first time and he seemed to enjoy it. With the help of the bowling "ramp" Cameron had a better score than a few of us!!

This little car is Cameron's favorite right now. I just had to post this picture because of what a great deal I got on it. I'd been wanting to buy it in the store but was putting it off since it costs about $60. The other day I was at a yard sale in my neighborhood and found it for $7!!! I was so happy that I didn't buy it new!

Summer Days

Charles, Cameron and I have been enjoying our summer, especially over the past 3 weeks while we've had 2 exchange students staying with us: Guillermo from Spain and John from China. This was our first year hosting exchange students and it's really been a great experience. They stayed with us for 4 weeks.

All of us at dinner the night before John went back home

Cameron and I have been taking advantage of the summer heat by visiting our water park at least once a week. Of course he absolutely loves it there :) By the way, you'll notice these photos are all action shots as I couldn't get him to stop long enough to take a photo of him!

Going thru a water tunnel

I also like to take Cameron to the Fun Factory which is a big indoor playground. They have a huge ball pit and slide that he loves. It's a nice place to take him to play out of the heat and it's really reasonably priced.
Crawling thru the maze to the tunnel
(I'm so glad he can do this by himself now because it would be pretty hard for me to do being 6 months pregnant!)

Playing with the toys in the toddler area

On certain days they even offer a music class at the Fun Factory. This was his 2nd time in the class and although he enjoyed it and had a blast playing all the instruments I felt bad that he didn't follow instructions like the older children (ie. at certain times they were to stop playing and wait a few seconds and then start again but he would never stop playing.)

He loved playing the drum! I guess I need to get him some musical instruments :)
