Cameron's Birthday, Part 2
On Saturday, Sept. 4, we had a pool party to celebrate Cameron and Adeline's (the daughter of good friends of ours) 2nd birthdays. We had it at our community clubhouse which worked out really well. We had about 40 people and we all had a really nice time!

A Few Fun Pics
Here are a few pictures from various activities that we have been doing over the past month.......
Pointing to a bunch of butterflies eating fruit

The butterflies are hard to notice in the pictures but if you look closely in this photo you can see the black butterfly with white strips.

The day before our last exchange student, Guillermo, went home we all went bowling. This was Cameron's first time and he seemed to enjoy it. With the help of the bowling "ramp" Cameron had a better score than a few of us!!

This little car is Cameron's favorite right now. I just had to post this picture because of what a great deal I got on it. I'd been wanting to buy it in the store but was putting it off since it costs about $60. The other day I was at a yard sale in my neighborhood and found it for $7!!! I was so happy that I didn't buy it new!
Cameron and I along with my sister, Becky, and my mom went to the Butterfly Rainforest which is in Gainesville (about a half hour from Ocala.) Cameron loves chasing butterflies so he had a great time!

Summer Days
Charles, Cameron and I have been enjoying our summer, especially over the past 3 weeks while we've had 2 exchange students staying with us: Guillermo from Spain and John from China. This was our first year hosting exchange students and it's really been a great experience. They stayed with us for 4 weeks.

Cameron and I have been taking advantage of the summer heat by visiting our water park at least once a week. Of course he absolutely loves it there :) By the way, you'll notice these photos are all action shots as I couldn't get him to stop long enough to take a photo of him!

Going thru a water tunnel

I also like to take Cameron to the Fun Factory which is a big indoor playground. They have a huge ball pit and slide that he loves. It's a nice place to take him to play out of the heat and it's really reasonably priced.

Playing with the toys in the toddler area

On certain days they even offer a music class at the Fun Factory. This was his 2nd time in the class and although he enjoyed it and had a blast playing all the instruments I felt bad that he didn't follow instructions like the older children (ie. at certain times they were to stop playing and wait a few seconds and then start again but he would never stop playing.)

Crawling thru the maze to the tunnel
(I'm so glad he can do this by himself now because it would be pretty hard for me to do being 6 months pregnant!)

Cameron Happenings
Sorry that it has been so long since I've posted any photos. I thought I would include some photos of what Cameron has been up to so far this summer (and some of his new favorite activities.)

If you haven't yet heard, Cameron is CRAZY about swimming. He just finished his second swim class which was for children 2 and a half or older. Cameron was the youngest in the class. He had to swim with an instructor and 2 other children. He cried for the first week of classes but did really well during the second week. He has no problem jumping in and loves to swim under water. He's a really good swimmer for his age :)

We have been busy attending birthday parties over the past two weeks. We had one last weekend and 2 today and then a few more at the end of the month.
He LOVES to color! (I think we have decided that he is a lefty) He will color for quite a long time and loves to color a few lines on each coloring page using every color. (
In this photo I happened to be working at the dining room table when he joined me and starting coloring on the newspaper.
